The Cultural Fest will be celebrated over three days with an event being held at the Townsville Intercultural Centre (155 Nathan Street, Cranbrook) each day.
Friday 19th August 2022 - 10:30am to 3:30pm The Townsville Cultural Fest and Carnival of Joy launch day will be celebrated with multicultural performances, cultural foods, local service providers, information booths and special guest speakers.
Saturday 20th August 2022 - 10:30am to 3:30pm Cultural Festival celebrations will continue with a celebration of the diverse multicultural community we have in Townsville. Diverse cultures will be celebrated through food, performances and activities. The Carnival of Joy will begin their journey around Townsville departing the centre at 2pm.
Sunday 21st August 2022 - 10:30am to 3:30pm Sunday will be celebrated with a multicultural family fun day. There will be games and activities for children, along with showcasing local talent from diverse backgrounds.
The Carnival of Joy will connect Townsville venues simultaneously celebrating multiculturalism and inclusion with entertainment and food sampling. In addition, the Carnival of Joy will participate in the Cultural Fest with the parade of the giant platypus, giant talking cockatoo, giant kookaburra and the giant koala.

10:30am - Carnival of Joy arrives at the Townsville Intercultural Centre, 155 Nathan Street Cranbrook - BBQ, Afghan, Central African & Indigenous food, music and dance. This free community event runs until 3:30pm.
2.30pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at Bushland Beach Tavern - Neighbourhood gathering around the roundabout.
3:15pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at the Strand Amphitheatre, Gregory Street Headland - Community celebrations with local belly dancers performing a street show.
4:00pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at 4 First Street, Railway Estate - Cook island and Pacific island music, dance and food sampling.
5:00pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at One Mile Drive, Gumlow - Hindu community celebration with food, dance and music.

10:30am - Carnival of Joy arrives at the Townsville Intercultural Centre, 155 Nathan Street Cranbrook - Free community event runs until 3:30pm.
2:10pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at the Enkindle School, 30 Smith Road, JCU, Douglas - Celebration of community and diversity with free BBQ, music and children’s activities.
3.30pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at Pallarenda - Our French Community will celebrate with storytelling, music, trivia, pétangue and language learning. With the support of the Alliance Française de Townsville and Triple T 103.9fm community radio. Open to all current and former Pallarendians.
4:15pm - Carnival of Joy arrives atVictoria Park, Cnr Bell and Morey Street South Townsville - Neighbourhood gathering to celebrate with the Carnival of Joy parade.
4:35pm - Carnival of Joy arrives at 178 River Park Drive, Annandale - Latin flavour Neighbourhood celebration, free food sampling and performances.
